Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ToolsCrate does and does not collect. The short version is that the tools themselves collect nothing: they run inside your browser, and the files and figures you put into them never reach us. The longer version follows.

Your files stay on your device

All file-based tools on ToolsCrate — photo resizers, image compressors, PDF tools, save-file viewers and the rest — process your files entirely inside your web browser using standard browser technology. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us.

This is a structural property of the site rather than a promise about how we behave. ToolsCrate is published as static pages with no file upload endpoint and no backend that could receive a document, so there is no server for your files to travel to. You can confirm this yourself by opening your browser's developer tools, switching to the Network tab and using any tool on the site: no request carrying your file will appear.

Calculator inputs

Values you enter into calculators — income, salary, loan amounts, rent, age, height, weight, cycle dates and anything else — are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. We do not build a profile from them, and we could not associate them with you even if we wanted to, because they are never sent anywhere.

What is stored in your browser

A small number of preferences are saved in your browser's local storage so the site behaves consistently between visits — your choice of light or dark mode, for example. This information stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browsing data removes it.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements, which is what keeps these tools free to use. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

Advertising cookies are set by the ad network, not by us, and we have no access to the information they contain. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser does not stop any tool on this site from working.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are used most, so we know what to improve and what to build next. This is limited to aggregate information such as page views and referring sites. No personally identifiable information is collected, and analytics never sees the contents of a file you open or a figure you type into a calculator.

Server logs

Like any website, ToolsCrate is served by a hosting provider that records standard technical request information — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. These logs exist for security and reliability, are retained by the provider for a limited period, and are not used to identify individual visitors.

Children's privacy

ToolsCrate is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As described above, the tools do not collect personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Data-protection laws such as the GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. Because we do not collect or store personal data through the tools, we hold nothing to return or delete. For advertising and analytics data held by third parties, use the opt-out links above or contact those providers directly.

Third-party links

Some pages link to external sites — official government rate pages, documentation and reference material. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one does not apply to them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date at the top. Material changes to how data is handled will be reflected on this page before they take effect.
