Reporting a problem with a tool

Because everything runs inside your browser, a bug that happens for you may not happen for us. The following details usually let us reproduce a problem on the first try:

  • The tool you were using — the page address is ideal.
  • Your browser and device, for example “Chrome on Windows 11” or “Safari on iPhone”.
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  • The kind of file involved, if it was a file tool — its format and rough size. Please do not send the file itself; we do not want your documents, and we cannot accept attachments.

Suggesting a new tool

Tell us what you are trying to do rather than just naming the tool. Knowing the actual task — the form you are filling in, the limit you are trying to meet, the file a piece of software refuses to open — almost always leads to a better tool than a one-line feature request would.

Corrections to a calculator

Tax slabs, small-savings interest rates and statutory limits change, sometimes with little notice. If a figure looks wrong to you, write in with the rate or rule you believe applies and where it is published. Corrections of this kind go to the front of the queue, because a calculator that quietly uses last year's numbers is worse than no calculator at all.

What we cannot help with

We cannot give financial, tax, legal or medical advice. The calculators are estimation tools, and the health tools are general information rather than a diagnosis — for anything that affects a real decision, please talk to a qualified professional. We also cannot recover a file you have already overwritten, since nothing you open here is ever uploaded to or stored by us.

Privacy

Emailing us shares your address with us and nothing more. There is no account to create, no newsletter, and we do not pass your address on. How the site itself handles data is set out in full in our privacy policy.
