Working Days Calculator
Count business days between two dates for project planning, notice periods or delivery estimates — with the option to include Saturdays.
Working days
23
Weekend days
9
Total days
32
Counting inclusively from Sunday, 30 August 2026 to Wednesday, 30 September 2026 gives 23 working days. Public holidays are not deducted, so subtract those separately.
Leap years are handled correctly. Month arithmetic clamps to the end of the month, so adding one month to 31 January gives 28 February (or 29 in a leap year) rather than rolling into March.
How to use
- 1Set the “From” and “To” dates.
- 2Read the working days between them, with weekends excluded.
- 3Check the weekend day count and the total calendar days alongside it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are public holidays excluded?
No, only weekends. Indian holidays vary by state and by organisation, so subtract your own list from the result. The count is inclusive of both the start and end dates.
What about a six-day working week?
Tick the Saturday option. Many Indian offices, banks and schools work alternate or full Saturdays, and the count adjusts accordingly.
What is this useful for?
Working out delivery timelines quoted in business days, calculating notice periods, planning project schedules, and checking how many working days remain in a quarter.
Are both dates counted?
Yes, the count is inclusive. A Monday to Friday range returns five working days, not four.
